Masaka Diocesan Medical Services

Masaka Diocesan Medical Services get an ambulance from Miva Switzerland and Austria, 2021

MIVA Austria and MIVA Switzerland donated a brand new Multipurpose/Ambulance Land cruiser. It was sent directly from Japan at cost of Euro 30,900. It is under registration UBJ 290U received in March 2021 and now already offering services.

It was donated to support the department as a way of improving accessibility of health services within and outside the diocese of Masaka. The activities to be done will include:

HIV/AIDS prevention (DREAMS Project), Care, and OVC activities

Promotion household nutrition

Delivery of Medicines to “hard to reach” areas in the Diocese

Conduct support supervision of the 35 Lower Level units with Masaka Diocese.

Transportation of mothers to Health facilities for maternal services

Conduct surveys periodically for better monitoring and evaluation.

As the COVID 19 pandemic goes on, it continues to support service delivery within and outside Masaka.

Thanks to MIVA AUSTRIA AND SWITZERLAND
